Make sure your skin is ready:
Whether you’re doing your Makeup or not, cleanse your face and apply a mild moisturizer to your wedding. Now is not the time to modify your habit, whatever it may be. Exfoliate using a moderate exfoliating cleanser rather than a vigorous scrub. If you have a blemish, dab it with Visine or anything similar, or leave it alone. The clean and delicate palette your makeup needs to obtain natural-looking, gorgeous skin should be your priority.
Tips for Preparing the Base:
For a smooth look and an even skin tone, moisturize your face. While working on your face, don’t forget to hydrate with your fingertips by rubbing them together circularly and gently. Apply a tinted moisturizer on your face as well.
Face Rejuvenation Ideas:
- Apply a primer two minutes after moisturizing and mix it in well. It holds your concealer and foundation in place for longer and keeps your makeup looking fresh.
- Using a concealer to conceal spots or imperfections is equally vital. Use a colored concealer like yellow or green to hide the reddish blemishes on your skin to brighten it up.
- Use a makeup brush or a sponge to apply a foundation without SPF and mix it well. Apply the foundation to the other areas of the face starting in the center and blending outwards. A foundation with a matte finish is also a perfect choice. It’s best to avoid using a foundation with SPF since it will give your face an unflattering ‘flash’ look in images. On the wedding day, don’t spend much time in the sun.
- For a luminous appearance: Highlight the upper planes of the face like the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the center of the forehead, and the Cupid’s bow.
Blush Suggestions:
Using a blush brush, apply some blush and wipe away the excess. Maintain a continuous grin and mix it upwards, towards the ears, in a rotational motion.
Eyeshadow Suggestions:
Goldeye makeup is popular among brides because it complements their red, fuchsia, green lehengas, or heavy saris. It is the hue you use if you want to play it safe
To create a delicate, smoky appearance, paint your eyelids with a gold or peachy pink tint and utilize charcoal shadow on the external lid contours. Use a brown hue on the inner crease to obtain this look. Use an angled brush coated in brow powder or an eyebrow pencil for eyelids.
